Essential Functions:


  1. Performs minor repairs to building and building services such as lighting, piping systems, plumbing, electrical systems.
  2. Helps keep inventory of repair supplies and materials.
  3. Installation of new equipment.
  4. Operates powered shop equipment following all safety guidelines.
  5. Cleans and restores equipment and machinery. 
  6. Performs routine oiling and greasing of maintenance shop equipment.
  7. Makes preventative maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
  8. Maintain daily-required records.
  9. Performs housekeeping duties in accordance with established housekeeping and safety procedures.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
  11. Modification/fabrication of equipment/fixtures.
  12. Hydraulic/pneumatic press tooling changes.
  13. Contribution to continuous improvement program.





  1. 5 years of previous manufacturing, mechanical and electrical experience/training.
  2. Good math and reading skills. 
  3. Excellent team player – able to successfully work in many areas within RTC.
  4. Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license. 
  5. Familiar with 3-phase 480/208V electrical service and 1-phase 240/120V and DC volt system.
  6. Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  7. Welding/fabrication skills.
  8. Basic computer skill (i.e., internet, word processing, spreadsheet).
