Description

This is a full time position that reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.  This position acts as the primary interface between our customers and the various departments within the company for custom applications. 

  • Participate and/or lead assigned R & D projects, while focusing on the impact of new products on the sales cycle.
  • Provide quotations and/or technical assistance to customers based on individual experience, engineering feedback and/or sales management direction while   maximizing the company’s profitability by using stand pricing guidelines.
  • Completes engineering calculations (PULSE, Pressure Drops, Radial Velocity, etc.) to provide the Engineering Department with information necessary to design custom application products.
  • Conduct product/market training for Customers, Sales Representatives and Internal Team members as requested.  These training's may occur at our facility or at a domestic or international customer facility.
  • Follow Management outline to focus sales efforts within pre-defined market segments, by providing Engineering guidance/assistance to: Customers, Sales Representatives and Inside Sales. 
  • Occasional travel to conference and trade shows.
  • Conduct daily customer service duties:  Answer phones, e-mail inquiries and other tasks as required.

Engineering Background: Drafting, Designing

Mechanical Background: Hands on assembly

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Previous Sales or Engineering experience in one or more of the following areas (3-5 years previous inside/outside sales experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred for this position):
  • Bachelor Degree (Engineering Discipline preferred) - Candidates with an Associated Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline AND work experience in a manufacturing environment may be considered for this position.
  • Fluid Power
  • Hydraulics
  • Electrical 
  • Chemical Sales
  • Strainers
  • Gas Filtration
  • Understanding and interpretation of technical requirements
  • Computer competency:  MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access or other database as well as proprietary software (Visual Manufacturing)
  • Engineering software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, ProE, etc.)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Ability to work with a variety of different people, with different skills sets and from different cultures.  Also able to work independently within a team dynamic.
  • Language Skills – Intermediate:  Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Reasoning ability – Very High Skills – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
