Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Pay: ~$65K DOE
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The person in this position must apply advanced traffic engineering knowledge to identify and address safety, mobility and operational needs as they participate in the development, design, construction and ultimate operation of capital improvements. In addition to understanding and applying transportation policies, practices and standards; these complex engineering assignment require judgment, initiative, tact and creativity. The Traffic Engineer will review plans for installing traffic control devices, determine basic roadway design criteria and develop phasing and timing for traffic signals.
Education and Experience – Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Civil or Electrical Engineering is required. Must be a registered P.E. in good standing in the state of Texas or have the ability to obtain license within six (6) months of hire. Must have over five (5) years of experience in the field of traffic/transportation engineering, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory position. Must possess valid Texas driver's license.
