POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for complete construction of all prototype samples, measuring factory sample evaluation garments, quality inspections and logging.  3D pattern software (Optitex, CLO or Browzwear) experience.



  1. Assist in Pattern making.
  2. 3D pattern software (Optitex, CLO or Browzwear) experience.
  3. Cut and sew samples accurately and completely.
  4. Fit garments on mannequins, provide and assist with corrections/approvals.
  5. Review completed construction samples from factories for accuracy.
  6. Review / Evaluate Pre-Production and Top Production for quality and safety.
  7. Send electronic evaluations to factories, via email.
  8. Maintain fabric and supply inventory in the Sew Lab, labeling with content, weight, etc.
  9. Assist in creating specification sheets with graded measurements and detailed sewing instructions.
  10. Maintain log of samples flowing through department.

Any additional tasks, assigned by Supervisor.

Job Requirements


  1. High School education or equivalent
  2. 5 years sewing experience strongly preferred
  3. Knowledge of AccuMark system / pattern design.
  4. Efficient in Excel

Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:

  1. Thorough knowledge of production sewing and garment construction.
  2. Good reading comprehension
  3. Good analytical skill – to figure out garment construction based on sketch & pattern
  4. Ability to pay attention to detail
  5. Ability to operate & maintain machines; change needles, bulbs, oil, etc.
  6. Good interpersonal skills – to interface with other areas
  7. Ability to use pencil, pens, scissors (manual * electric), and rules
  8. Ability to use both hands & feet simultaneously – to operate industrial machines.
  9. Operate various industrial sewing machines: single needle, overlock, elastic, flat seams, picot, button O& buttonhole, blind stitch, & binding folders.
  10. Knowledge of pattern making skills (3D pattern software experience).
