Temporary Purchasing Clerk
The Purchasing Clerk is a temporary position that mainly provides support for the maintenance of the supply chain system. Responsible for purchasing of pre-negotiated and defined items that are generally associated with a shortage report.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Review purchase order dates in system. • Review purchase items with buyer. • Contact supplier via email or phone to verify dates. • Review tracking from shipping companies. • Update system with date changes. • Confirm delivery of raw materials with Receiving and outside warehouses. • Other duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Good communication skills both verbal and written • General computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Word) • Organizational skills • Ability to multitask • Display great attention to detail • Able to work independently and in a team environment
