Summary:

Monitor parts, materials, and products received from IEC suppliers (internal and external) to identify conformance to established company standards. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in inspection/fabrication of bare printed circuits and/or inspection/assembly of electronic products.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical and/or electrical inspection utilizing standard documentation, procedures and precision measuring devices to support receiving and final inspection
  • Accept/reject for conformance to standards and specifications
  • Verify compliance to applicable standards and other approved documentation 
  • Inspection of piece parts and/or complete assemblies 
  • Maintain files and records as required
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal customers 
  • Train new QA inspectors
  • Perform QA data collection and data entry into production MRP/MES software systems
  • Maintain nonconforming material in the MRB area and process the material per documented instructions 
  • Additional Responsibilities may include:
  • Ability to use various measuring tools, such as micrometers, height gauge, rulers, gauges, dial and digital calipers
  • Ability to use XRF and optical measuring equipment
  • Extensive knowledge in the manufacture and quality control of electronic and electromechanical parts, assemblies and finished products
  • Competency in PCB workmanship standards and component identification (IPC-600, 610)
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Ability to use PC to record and retrieve data
  • Ability to keep precise records
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
  • Possess a team building attitude  

Job Requirements

Training & Experience: 

  • High School Graduate required
  • A.S. in technical curriculum preferred (Math, Science, Electronics, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior experience in fabrication of bare circuit boards or assembly of electronic products
  • Must be able to read & interpret technical design documentation, BOMs and wire diagrams
  • IPC 600, 610, 620 Certification preferred
  • J-STD-00, ASQ-I, ASQ-T Certification preferred
