The Water Spider is responsible for staging jobs for the assembly lines. Required to follow the assembly schedule and work directly with the assembly supervisor in order to supply the lines with the materials needed. When material is not available or any problems are encountered regarding material on the assembly lines, the Water Spider is required to communicate with the respective department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (One or more of the following) • Stage orders per daily assembly line schedule based on production rates and availability • Locate material for required jobs in their respective areas • Review material with assembly line leaders when staging material • Place items on hand truck or forklift in a safe manner and operates the correspondent machinery to transport them to the assembly lines. • Patrol assembly lines to determine when next job should be staged • Interface with the sheet metal and material handling departments to inquire about available material and when issues arise • Assist assembly supervisor in the movement of material to and from assembly lines • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assembly area
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • High energy level with ability to take initiative. • Ability to work in a team setting • Good manual dexterity • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while remaining alert. • Able to stand for 8 hours. • Able to work in warehouse environment. • Able to follow directions. • knowledge of operating RF scanners and pallet jacks • Ability to drive forklifts • Read and understand Traveler • Read and understand Ops sheet • Read and correctly interpret blue prints. • Understand how to read and use protractor and tape measure Identify tooling needed for machine/program/OPS sheet
