The Director of Admissions plays a vital role in advancing the mission and strategic goals through thoughtful recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies. The Director leads all aspects of the admissions process for middle and high school applicants and serves as a key ambassador for the school, cultivating relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, and the broader community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic admissions plan to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse and mission-aligned student body

• Lead and manage the admissions office, including staff supervision and budget oversight

• Organize and direct all admissions events (open houses, shadow days, campus tours, etc.)

• Oversee the application process from inquiry through enrollment, ensuring a timely and professional experience for families

• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to ensure a smooth transition for new students

• Maintain accurate admissions data and report regularly on metrics, trends, and projections

• Serve as a member of the school’s leadership team and participate in strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions, marketing, or related field; prior experience in independent schools strongly preferred

• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail

• Ability to work evenings and weekends for events as needed
