Job Opening: Forklift Operator

EXPERIENCED FORKLIFT OPERATORS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!

Remedy is pleased to partner with our client in Cedar Rapids, IA, who is a leading manufacturer of excipients, offering a complete portfolio of solutions for the global health science industry.

They have a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment in a forklift position.

It is a temp-to-hire position for the right candidate!

Shift/Hours: 1st shift, Mon – Fri, 7AM – 3:30PM with occasional OT

Pay: $18/hour

Major Responsibilities:

• Accurately stage and sort bins of product for loading including matching alpha/numeric coding.
• Open and close dock door, load and unload trailers.
• Move materials within the warehouse, package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling), and handle disposition of damaged product.
• Use computer and handheld RF scanners to manage inventory in the warehouse management system and complete daily logs.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material, and equipment needs.
• Must be able to follow all safety rules, work in a safe manner and report any problems for management to address.

Skills/Requirements:

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, including reading production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders
• Previous experience in crating and boxing product for shipment required
• At least 2 years recent Forklift experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with computers and RF Scanners required.
• Must be able to stand, sit, reach, grasp, turn, bend, and twist body to reach product and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
