Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for gathering and consolidating data from all Marine business units with the goal of improving the organization’s Supply Chain operations and efficiencies. This role will also support strategic projects on behalf of the Supply Chain Shared Services Team, generate reports, publish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), and represent the Supply Chain Team when working with internal/external customers & suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to improve processes that positively impact the Supply Chain, our Customers and profitability across the division
- Act as primary Supply Chain interface for inquiries from sites within the division
- Responsible for data entry of strategic item pricing within the division
- Collect cost savings data on a predetermined basis from each site within the division and enter in to the Marine shared service cost savings matrix
- Process non-disclosure agreement requests for strategic Suppliers
- Assist Procurement teams at the Marine locations with the creation and development of order status reports, purchase order date maintenance tools and various ERP items to ensure effective tactical execution
- Examine and execute Supplier maintenance tasks within ERP system ensuring all information, records and documentation is up-to-date and accurate
- Liaise with the Finance department to reconcile major invoice and purchase orders discrepancies within the divisions
- Organize and maintain Strategic Supplier compliance and import/export records
- Enter and maintain commodity classifications and Supplier standardization data in the ERP system
- Research and collect information pertaining to commodity/category market data and trend, industry and supply chain benchmarking, and economic indices; compile collected data and publish monthly report to Marine Supply Chain team
- Create and maintain Marine Supply Chain KPI and continuous improvement reports
- Arrange and coordinate internal/external meetings with Strategic Suppliers
- Manage special Supply Chain projects, ensuring high quality standards and timely completion
- Assist with the administration of Supplier Risk Assessment Policy
- Provide post-project and training support when required
- Assist with expense reports and travel authorization processing
- Assist with the development of Marine Procurement Processes
- Other duties as assigned by Sr. Director of Supply Chain or other team members
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- 2 Years of College or trade school, preferred
- Procurement and/or Supply Chain Experience, preferred
