Local company seeking a Human Resources Manager!
Job Duties:
- Manages the HR department by overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure compliance
- Oversees recruitment and retention processes
- Works closely with managers on performance management including proper disciplinary actions
- Ensures policies comply with federal and state law
- Administers employee surveys to provide appropriate engagement activities through company events and programs
- Conducts wage reviews using surveys and develops recommendations
- Prepares recommendations for benefits offerings and partners with benefits vendors for open enrollment renewals
- Reviews all leave requests and determines applicable leave qualifications
- Keeps abreast of all changes to Federal and State employment and payroll laws.
- Advises and assists management in handling problems of discriminatory work practices in their departments
- Communicates best practices relating to employment and labor policies
- Supports safety program
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
- At least 2-3 years of HR Generalist experience
- Union experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task and juggle different priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Pay: $70,000 – $80,000, depending on experience
