Remedy Staffing is currently supporting a direct-placement search for an experienced Benefits Specialist to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Our client company is a manufacturer that has been in business for more than 50 years and currently employs about 400 people.

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration and regulatory compliance of Group benefit plans, including but not limited to; Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life, Disability, Worker’s Comp, 401(k), employee Perks and Time-Off benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures administration of all Health and Welfare benefit programs within applicable regulations: ERISA, Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, etc.
  • Responsible for administration of Health and Welfare (H&W) benefits including managing enrollments, changes and terminations, employee and administration problem resolution, and payment of carrier premiums.
  • Works with H&W Broker to implement plan changes.
  • Responsible for the coordination and delivery of the annual open enrollment.
  • Performs and/or assists with scheduled compliance testing and benefits audits and regulatory mailings including but not limited to; §125, 401(k), WC, ACA reporting, SAR, CHIP, and Creditable Coverage notices, Plan Document and SPD, Summaries of Benefit Coverage updates, etc.
  • Manages the Leave of Absence process working with the Payroll administrators to reduce DBL and WC claims.
  • Monitors claims and DBL causes and implements programs to reduce risk.
  • Responsible for day to day administration of employee 401(k) Plan(s) - supports annual testing and compliance, ensures regular employee education, implements plan changes and ensures compliance with regulatory filings and employee notifications.
  • Oversees Employee Perks program.
  • Coordinates and/or assists with corporate events such as the annual vendor fair, 401(k) Education Meetings, etc.
  • May administer company Reward and Recognition programs as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 4 years’ experience in a HR role including 2 years benefits administration or the equivalent combination education/experience is required.
  • PHR certified or SHRM-CP certified is preferred
  • Must be flexible to work other hours during Open Enrollment and other benefit events.

This position will pay $40-46K.

Remedy Staffing is assisting a plastic facility with locations in Honeoye, NY and Bloomfield, NY. We are actively hiring associates for all 3 shifts and all positions would be temp to hire opportunities. Job would be production work, working with plastic materials, packaging, entry level machine operating and etc. Pay rate depends on shift but can range from 10.25 to 11.25 per hour.
